My problem with this restaurant is NOT the food. It's the incredibly rude manager my husband had to deal with. He ordered food to take home and when he got here our coleslaw was nowhere to be found. Nothing new for us so he called the restaurant. Well, the manager insinuated that my husband was lying. Yes lying about the, probably $.50, coleslaw missing! My husband told him he would bring all the food back when he went to get the coleslaw so we could have hot food. The manager even called my husband back before he could leave the house and said he did give us the coleslaw and that it was in another bag. My husband explained that no we didn't get 2 bags and he'd double checked the car and kitchen for it. When he got there 2 young employees were working the front. My husband explained why he was there and the manager, who was boxing all the food (go figure), yelled from the back that they better make sure we didn't eat any of the food. So rude! I don't know who this man thinks he is but he needs to drop the attitude! I WILL be contacting the company about his disgusting treatment of his employees and the horrible service he gave us. Oh, and as my husband was walking out a woman walked up and said she was missing the extra fish she had ordered. At least it wasn't only us.

Dear lord, why would anyone ever eat at this franchise?

I LOVE Long John Silver's even though it is not the healthiest. Was on vacation for a few weeks and went here - awful!!! Tried it again a week later (dumb me) and it was the same. Cold french fries, overcooked shrimp, super hard hush puppies - not one thing was right! A sad day for LJS chain :(

Enough grease in one piece of fish to grease up two Sumo wrestlers!

I can only eat at this place hungover. Long John Silver's is a phenomenon. There are always two or three old couples sitting in booths, eating double deep fried crap in total silence. You can almost bank on at least one Lincoln Town Car and a beat up mini van to be out in the parking lot. Then there is the sick masochist like myself hell bent on some good ol' self destruction. This food is horrible, but with coupons like $3.99 monster fish and pups and the $4.49 chicken and more dinner, sometimes I can't help my poor weak self. May God forgive me.

Now I know, no one expects anything from a place like LJS. But one thing I expect from any business is being open. I had an early lunch the other day so decided to try this place. I went at about 10:40 and though the sign on the wall said they opened at 10:00 the parking lot was empty and the employees were just standing around inside. I then took my business elsewhere. I have been here before, in the afternoon, when they were opened and it was typical fried fastfood fish. Nothing too good but nothing horrible. Perhaps if this establishment was open when it said it would be then more people could review it. But then again, that might be a bad idea.
